Central Heating & Hot Water (CENWAT) Training & Assessment Course (ACS Certification)

The Central Heating & Hot Water (CENWAT) Training & Assessment Course is the industry-standard ACS qualification for gas engineers working on boilers and hot water systems. CENWAT replaced the previous CEN1 and WAT1 modules and became effective from April 2011. It is required for engineers working on a wide range of domestic central heating and hot water appliances across both residential and commercial settings. This CENWAT gas training course is not fuel-specific, meaning it applies to appliances powered by both Natural Gas (NG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

By completing this CENWAT training and assessment, candidates will be able to:
Apply current gas safety legislation and industry best practices
The CENWATACS assessment includes:
For engineers undertaking CENWAT re-assessment (previously CEN1/WAT1), the installation element is removed and fewer knowledge questions are required.
To take the CENWAT ACS course, candidates must hold:
Engineers working incommercial environments may also qualify under relevant commercial core ACSpathways.
This course is suitable for:
• Qualified gas engineers working on boilers and central heating systems
• Installers seeking ACS certification in CENWAT
• Engineers needing CENWAT re-assessment (CEN1/WAT1 renewal)
• Professionals working on domestic appliances in commercial environments
